Paracord Cleaning Guide

Removing dirt and stains from your Para gear is quite simple.

• Soak items in warm water and 1 tbsp of our WASH cleaning solution (recipe below).
• Scrub gently, use a soft brush to clean in between the cords if need be.
• Rinse very thoroughly.
• Hang to dry near a vent, fan, open window, or outside in the breeze.
Be sure to leave buckles open.

Cleaning solution:::
• 1 part citric acid
• 1 part baking soda
• 1 part washing soda

WASH is available in our apothecary. However, if you prefer to be proactive, all of the ingredients can easily be acquired at most local grocery stores or on amazon at minimal cost. I have been using this same formula as both my dishwasher and laundry detergent for years and it works great! If you have really tough stains, you can pour a little distilled white wine vinegar in the water/powder mixture while your items soak.

I’ve also heard that various combinations of regular dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and or Castile soap work. However, I have not tried any of those myself and cannot vouch for their efficacy.
