Collar Measuring Guide

• • • IT IS VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU MEASURE ACCURATELY • • •

Please please pLeAsE carefully review this sizing guide for instructions on how to measure and feel free to reach out with any questions. Do not rush this step - double or triple check. Take your time.

When measuring for your custom PARA collar, physically measure your actual dog.

Do not take the measurement from another collar, this will invariably lead to incorrect sizing.

Use a soft tape measure for the most accurate measurement, to the nearest quarter of an inch. I guarantee every Para collar will be within .125 inch (3mm) of the size stated in your order form.

Rope physics are beyond me but what I do know is that the flat measurement and the circumference of the neck are not the same numbers. Never give measurements from a collar or tape measure laid flat.

Para collars are intended to hold up to a lifetime of daily use. Correct fit is the primary factor in ensuring long term satisfaction with our products.

Standard Neck

For most collars, the measurement should be taken from where a collar naturally sits on the dog's neck plus room for two fingers to fit comfortably underneath the collar. The tape measure should be tight enough so it cannot slide off the dog's head.

Tight Neck

In some cases, such as a limited-slip, the actual neck measurement is required. This measurement should be taken from where a collar naturally sits on the neck without any spacing. Tight, but not choking.

Head

Slip-on style collars, such as our FLUX and PEST require a head measurement rather than the neck. This measurement is taken from the widest part of the dog's head around the jaw and ears. The tape should easily slide over the head/ears.
