Dead Leaves From Stones

A series of ten sculptures made of communion wafers, stones and marcescence leaves. Marcescence Beech leaves are dead leaves that stay attached to the living branches through the entire winter. If left alone the branches will shed their leaves when the new buds begin to grow. Researchers are unsure why some trees keep these dead reminders on their branches.
